Over the next two years, TNC aims to reach thousands more youth across Colorado who have lacked access to meaningful and engaging music education opportunities due to access, financial,or historical inequalities and barriers.
Join the Take Note movement to provide access to musical instruments and instruction to Colorado’s students!
TNC’s goals 2025-2027:
- Raising an additional $1.2 million to support access to music instruments and education programs for youth who do not currently have these opportunities in K‑12 schools or after school programs, and focusing on the hardest to reach youth across the state.
- Building a collective network and catalyzing additional hub partnerships for the statewide mission.
- Identifying potential scholarship program opportunities for youth.
- Integration of workforce and leadership development education to include additional areas of music including music production, sound engineering, publishing, marketing, event management, and music business management.
- Continued reporting and storytelling on the impact and significant efforts of TNC and its partners.
- Developing more sustainable funding strategies for music education programs to reach all youth in Colorado.
- Implementing a succession and legacy strategy for TNC that ensures the continued impact and programs beyond 2027.
Hub Partner Strategy & Goals
By investing in our partner hubs we engaged two types of initiatives, those with established or historic music programs and those introducing music programming for the first time. The focus is ensuring cultural relevance, exposure to diverse musical genres and instruments, age-appropriate skill development, and youth-driven programming.
As an example, a $50,000 investment over two years will support one hub partnership across Colorado. 2025 Hub Partnership with The Boys & Girls Clubs include:
- La Plata County
- High Rockies
- Northwest CO
- Southern Ute Indian Tribe
- San Luis Valley
- Black Canyon
- Weld County
- Fremont County
- Chaffee County
- Fort Carson
